Really? Why BTC? at the SLOW speed (1- 5 DAYS) and HIGH cost of transactions? I will never accept my salary in BTC I won't be able to afford it or afford to do day-to-day food transactions in it and that spaza shop has to wait for 1-5 days for the tx to go through🧐 WHY BTC? I would love to get my salary in xrp 😇. Doing cost-of-living txs in BTC is just not viable the tx costs more than food

The most relevant statement to me was to de-centralize government. We are pretty stuck with the fiat money system at the moment and banks abuse this system daily to our cost as do the centralized governments. A fantastic effort to educate and inspire people to start thinking for themselves and planning for their own future.

The original conception of bitcoin was to be outside of the banking system. Then the central banks bought into it and now regulate it. They are'nt going to give up their iron grip control of their fiat currency system. My belief is that bitcoin was created by the central banks in order to divert people away from buying gold, and into bitcoin instead. The central banks have been stocking up on gold for quite some time now, not to mention BRICS and others.

I like the thinking and intention behind this initiative, though still foresee obstacles for an individual to be able to be able to make practical general month-to-month use of a BTC salary, in spite of having scattered access to BTC-friendly vendors, because these are still so few and far between for the average person. They are still going to need to convert some their BTC to fiat, at some point, in order to pay for certain monthly expenses, and the exchange volatility is one of the crunches, along with the conversion friction and tax implications.
